Non-Profit CEO Pay and Government Funding - Part 2
Our first post regarding this topic has peaked some interest and since then some other articles related to this topic have been popping up. One question recently raised is whether or not limits on the executive pay at for-profits would ultimately affect giving to the charitable sector. This argument cites the fact that many large gifts to charities are the result of the generosity of Wall Street employees. The bonuses many of these employees receive are often a large part of charitable gifts made each year. Another related article focuses on the concern over the transparency of Christian non-profits and the top compensation of those running those organizations. The general call is for overall transparency, but donors are primarily concerned with executive pay of the charities they are supporting.
