4-star charities promote their excellent ratings in many different ways. Some common examples are:
- Issuing a press releases to generate media coverage
- Including it in a boilerplate
- Highlighting the achievement in online and offline newsletters
- Featuring it on their websites in an area where donations are accepted
- Referencing it in grant proposals and annual reports
- Displaying the 4-star logo in appeal letters, envelopes, banners and so on
Goodwill Southern California came up with another interesting way to share their good news (seen below). They created a physical card to insert in appeal letters and other mailings.
