Charities on Twitter

I stumbled across a posting on The Huffington Post highlighting the charitable interests of some tweeters including TV news anchor Lily Jang and author Carolyn Rubenstein. Below is a list of some of the charities they support with links to their Charity Navigator ratings and twitter accounts.
Want to find more charities on Twitter? Check out Charity Navigator @CharityNav and our president & CEO, Ken Berger @kenscommentary. Along with donors, many charities follow our Tweets.

Here's Life Inner City NYC is also on Twitter (http://twitter.com/HLICNYC) and Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/HLICNewYork).

In New York City, the average cost for a meal out is $40.78 per person. This year HLIC NYC is hosting an event called "Dine In". By asking everyone to cook at home for one night and donate the money saved to sponsor a "Box of Love".
Each Box of Love feeds a family of six and includes a ham or chicken along with vegetables, potatoes, juice, yams, apple or cranberry sauce, bread, fruit, dessert, and more ... plus Scriptures and children’s literature.
