Today's Metric Monday covers a transparency issue: key staff and board listing.
It is critical that an organization remain transparent to its constituents and donors, and disclosure of leadership is a key step in that transparency. Organizations that hide their leadership fail to meet a best practice of openness.
For these metrics, our analysts review an organization's website to determine both that the organization has listed its key staff and board members, and that the information is readily and easily available for donor and constituent viewing. It's worth noting that "key staff" does not mean necessarily listing every single person who works for an organization (though many organizations do); rather, it means the organization's core leadership and officers are listed, along with the full board of directors. Organizations listing both receive full credit for both metrics.
