Top 10 Habitat for Humanity Affiliates


Habitat for Humanity is an international organization focused on providing safe and affordable homes to families in need. They believe that by providing reliable shelter families will be able to tackle their other challenges.

Habitat for Humanity affiliates work with partners in their communities to secure building materials. They see the families who will buy their homes as "partners" and offer them an affordable place to live in exchange for a set amount of "sweaty equity," or hours spent building their home.

One of the oldest affiliates in the nation, Habitat for Humanity of Collier County has been building homes and serving families in its community since 1978. Building at a pace of 100 homes a year since 2002, Habitat Collier has now provided simple, decent homes for more than 1,800 families.
