Corporate and Foundation Giving

According to Giving USA, corporate giving accounted for 5% of all giving and foundation gifts accounted for 12.6% in 2007. With the recent events in the overall economy it seems many companies will be cutting back their giving. A recent study of 158 companies found that 45% of them have reduced giving in 2009. In another study, The Foundation Center found that only two of 100 Foundations would be increasing their giving this year from the previous year. Unfortunately, these findings are just more bad news for overall charitable giving.
