We launched Charity Navigator in 2002 with 1,100 charity ratings - instantly making us the largest, independent charity rating service in America. Within ten years, we grew that number to 5,500. And now, as of December 1st, we've grown to more than 6,000. 

Specific highlights from our December 1st update include:

• 57 charities just added this month
• 6 charities added from Groupon Grassroots donors
• Nearly 400 charities updated this month
• Search all 6,000+ charities for ones that match your philanthropic passions
