- Some charities are not even transparent enough to display the names of their key staff and Board of Directors on their website.
- Those annoying telemarketers calling you at dinnertime often keep the majority of what you donate (sometimes 85 to 95 cents of every dollar they raise). That’s millions of dollars each year that go towards enriching for-profit telemarketers rather than supporting charitable programs. Even scarier, there are cases in which no money is distributed to the charity.
