On #GivingTuesday, November 28, Charity Navigator released the first wave of impact statements for thousands of rated nonprofits. GlobalGiving contributed our impact information to charity profiles, offering additional insights into our nonprofit partners’ cultures and philosophy around learning and effectiveness. We hope to help donors make more informed and impactful giving choices.
GlobalGiving’s GG Rewards System measures the extent to which nonprofits demonstrate a commitment to learning and effectiveness through the Listen, Act, Learn, Repeat. cycle:
- Listen—How do nonprofits seek feedback from the people they serve, share best practices, and discover new ways to improve performance?
- Act—How are nonprofits testing out new ideas and acting on the feedback they receive?
- Learn—What are nonprofits learning from the results of their experiments? How are they adapting their programs and services based on what they learn?
Each of our partner organizations earns Effectiveness Points for Listening, Acting, Learning and Repeating, and points translate into a GG Rewards ranking: Partner, Leader, or Superstar.
The following organizations stand out among the charities rated by both Charity Navigator and GlobalGiving. They have high overall scores on Charity Navigator and have earned a high Effectiveness Points on GlobalGiving. They are Superstar nonprofits that have demonstrated a commitment to financial accountability and transparency, as well as learning and effectiveness:
