Through their “To and Through” program, College Bound helps prepare the whole child for success in college and life. Throughout the seven to nine years that students are in CB, they gain academic competencies, social and emotional skills, college application abilities and community service habits. This strong and long approach creates learners with a mindset to grow, persis toward goals, contribute to the workforce and give back to the community.

Humane Society of Missouri (St. Louis, MO)
Dedicated to second chances

Since 1870, the Humane Society of Missouri has been dedicated to second chances. They provide a safe and caring haven to all animals in need -- large and small -- that have been abused, neglected, or abandoned. Their mission is to end the cycle of abuse and pet overpopulation through their rescue and investigation efforts, spay/neuter programs, and education classes. They are committed to creating lasting relationships between people and animals through their adoption programs. And, they support that bond by providing world-class veterinary care, and outstanding pet obedience and behavior programs.

Kansas City Rescue Mission (Kansas City, MO)
Offering freedom from the past and hope for the future

Established in 1950, the Kansas City Rescue Mission was created to help people in need. Whether they come in because of bad choices, bad breaks or both, KCRM welcomes the poor, homeless, hungry, and hurting. Through a prove path from relief to recovery to re-entry, KCRM offer freedom from the past and hope for the future. They provide good food, safe shelter, comfortable beds, and clean facilities, as well as case management, recovery services, and job training to hundreds of people each year.

Sherwood Forest Camp (St. Louis, MO)

In doing so, they held kids discover the best in themselves so they can grow up and do good in the world.

The mission of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation is to improve the quality of life in Greater Kansas City by increasing charitable giving, educating and connecting donors to community needs they care about, and leading on critical community issues. St. Louis and Kansas City are not the only locations of fine charities in Missouri.

The Scotland Clark Project (SCP) operates out of rural Northeast Missouri. We support families in our community dealing with childhood illness and related hardships. We founded after the loss of our 8 year old daughter, Scotland. To date we have supported 58 families dealing with things like cancer, heart issues, child loss, tragic accidents, extended hospitalizations, and more.
